No Programming Tool Needed
Contact us first so we can verify the equipment and issue your unique TG order number. Then protect the connector pins, cushion the ECM, place the TG number inside and outside the box, and ship with tracking. We bench-read, build, verify, and return the module.

We first confirm your tool, plug-in, controller, and protocol. Read and save the untouched original, keep a backup, and email the actual file with your TG number. We build the custom file and return it with job-specific write instructions.

The ECM stays with the equipment when the module, connection method, and job are suitable for a guided remote session.
The module is shipped when it needs bench access, hardware-level work, or cannot be completed reliably through a remote connection.
Licensed Master tool users can read the supported original file, email it to us, and safely write the completed custom file we return.
Simple Mail-In Guide
Use the same unique request number from the website form so your ECM is matched to the correct customer, equipment, and job as soon as it arrives.
Complete the website request first. Your confirmation includes a unique TG order number that follows the module through the entire job.
We confirm whether the job is installed remote, removed-module service, or mail-in bench service—and exactly which ECM and/or ACM we need. Do not remove or ship anything yet.
Follow the OEM service procedure. Photograph and label connectors, let the system shut down fully, and never unplug a powered module. Use a qualified technician if you are unsure.
Use an anti-static bag when available, protect every pin and connector, add 2–3 inches of cushioning on all sides, use a sturdy box, and include no loose metal parts.
Put the confirmation sheet, TG order number, name, phone, VIN or serial, engine, module, and requested service inside. Write the same TG number clearly on the outside.
Use only the shipping address in your confirmation. Track and insure the package appropriately, keep the receipt, and email the carrier and tracking number with your TG order number.
Licensed Master Tool Guide
This route is only for customers or shops with a supported, licensed Master tool that can read and write the exact controller. Never begin until we confirm the protocol and method.
Tell us the vehicle or equipment, engine, controller ID, licensed Master tool, protocol, plug-in, and software version. We confirm support before you connect.
Use approved battery support, power the laptop, disable sleep, and follow the tool and OEM key-position instructions. Do not start when anything could interrupt communication.
Select the exact controller and complete the read method we approve. Save the full, unmodified original and keep a second untouched backup. Do not substitute a virtual read unless approved.
Email the actual original file—not a screenshot—to torqueandgains@gmail.com. Put the TG order number in the subject and include the VIN or serial, engine, ECM ID, tool used, and requested result.
We verify the identity and integrity of that exact original, build the approved calibration, and email the completed file back with job-specific instructions.
Restore stable power, write without touching power, keys, or cables, then complete the instructed key cycle and final scan. If a write fails, save the log and contact us before retrying.
ECM location, shutdown time, battery-disconnect sequence, connector locks, read methods, and write recovery vary by make, model, and controller. Follow the manufacturer service manual and the instructions for your licensed tool. If you are not trained or are unsure, use a qualified technician. Never disconnect an energized ECM or interrupt an active read or write.
